AAN serves low income and limited English proficient African and Afro-Caribbean immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers in San Francisco and throughout the greater Bay Area. We try to lift the social veil of invisibility often suffered by this community and work to integrate and support its members as they strive to build new lives.

As a result of the services we provide, AAN clients are able to achieve:

  • Increased awareness and understanding of immigration benefits.

  • Economic and social stability through proper documentation, opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship, strengthened social and cultural networks, increased civic participation and improved integration within their communities.

  • Access to municipal and county services such as affordable housing, education and vocational training for short-term and long-term employment.
