Board of Directors
Larry Saxxon has served as member of the state AARP Executive Council, former member of the Human Rights LGBT Advisory Committee where he was a member of the LGBT/Tech Working Group, and the San Francisco LGBT Aging Policy Task Force.
He also served on the Human Right’s Commission’s Equity Advisory Council, where he worked on Technology and Job Readiness related issues. He’s served in the AIDS field in the early 1980s and has served the LGBT, African American, and the African and Afro-Caribbean immigrant communities in philanthropy, government, and the nonprofit sector for the past 30 years.
Larry was a member of the African American Out-Migration Task Force and served on the African American Advisory Board of the LGBTQ Reducing Disparities Project. Human Rights and a Civil Society is, and has always been, a driving force in his life.
Currently, Larry is temporarily retired while he is completing his doctorate in education-with an emphasis on exploring the phenomenon of African American male disproportionality in Special Education.
